Week 1 Recap

Ray Rice
So unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard about the Ray Rice scandal. Rice, formerly with the Baltimore Ravens, was caught on security camera punching his
now wife in the face in an elevator and knocking her out. Cold. Although this incident happened back in February, new video has recently surfaced showing the actual punch. Previously, all that was released was the aftermath--an annoyed looking Rice trying half-heartedly to pick his unconscious girlfriend up and drag her out of the elevator.

There was initially an uproar over his punishment a few months ago, as he received only a two-game suspension. This punishment seemed quite lax as players continue to be suspended for 5, 6, 7 games or longer for things like marijuana possession and Driving Under the Influence. Obviously these things are all bad. However, most people think that punching your girlfriend/wife/any female in general is much, much worse. He has now been released from the Ravens.

In other news of the week:

--I won my first fantasy matchup! Woooooooooo! Soooo very sorry, Starlord. ;) I know you all care very deeply about my unicorns so I had to share.

Beauty and the Beast
--Unfortunately, the Seattle Seahawks look just as smokin' hot as they did last season. At least I got this fabulous pic of the Beast Mode himself, Marshawn Lynch, and I at a party last year. I can say I knew him when....

--Calvin Johnson of the Detroit Lions, also known affectionately as "Megatron," had a huge game on Monday night. Fantasy team owners everywhere rejoiced.

--The Colts/Broncos game ended up being a good game after it seemed like the Broncos were gonna blow them out of the water. Denver did end up winning, 31-24.

--The Buffalo Bills upset the Chicago Bears, 23-20 in overtime.

--The Cleveland Browns almost upset the Steelers, but the big news of the game was when WR Antonio Brown on the Steelers pulled off a jump-kick-to-the-face to a poor Browns punter. Check it out for yourself:

--AND.......drum roll, please.....I found out that my husband's company holiday party takes place at none other than the new 49ers Stadium!! I can't wait to document the new stadium for you guys!!

That's it for now!!
