Our Wedding..and, oh yeah, Week 4!

Our wedding!
Ok, so I have a really good reason that the blog is just the tiniest bit late this week. On Saturday, October 2nd, my husband and I renewed our vows (we got married legally last year at City Hall) at the Santa Barbara Zoo! It was the most amazing weekend...thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family who made it one of the best days of our entire lives.

I'll post a link later to lots more pics--and even better, you'll be able to catch some of it on a new Bridal Beauty show on TLC later this month. I'll keep you posted! BUT, we can't forget about football, wedding or no wedding, so here's what happened during Week 4:

Donovan McNabb
#1 Donovan McNabb, who you might be used to seeing wearing the green uniform of the Eagles, played in Philly for first time after leaving the team last season. Even though he now sports the Washington Redskins red jersey, the Philly crowd gave him a standing ovation. After all, he was with the Eagles for 11 seasons. He and his new team then promptly proceeded to kick Philly's behind 17-12. His Philly replacement, Michael Vick, got injured (rib cartilage) so the McNabb/Vick QB showdown that was supposed to happen, turned into a McNabb/Kolb showdown.

#2 Lots of injuries this week. Along with Vick's rib injury, Bear's QBJay Cutler (Kristin Cavallari's new hottie), got a concussion. Then, the replacement QB (Todd Collins) got injured, too! The Giants defense looked great and they won the game 17-3. As of now, it is unknown if the two QB's will return for next weeks' games. It IS known, however, that Kristin Cavallari is probably pissed.

#3 The Dolphins fired their special teams coach after Monday night's mess of a game. The Dolphins lost to Tom Brady's Patriots 41-14. Ouch.

Big Ben Roethlisberger
#4 Next week, QB"Big Ben" Roethlisberger returns to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was suspended for six games due to sexual assault allegations which were never brought to trial. Let's hope he behaves himself this year.

#5 On a local note, the Bay Area teams aren't playing well. The San Francisco 49er's record so far is 0-4, the Oakland Raiders stand at 1-3.

That's it for this week! Next week Chick 101 will have two to three posts per week (now that I have some time on my hands!) and will include things like the best names in football (T.J. Houshmandzadeh, anyone?), recipes, new defensive positions explained and much, much more.

Until next time!
